Our patient-centric team provides quality anesthesia across the Tri-state area in various locations including ambulatory surgery centers, medical offices and hospitals while efficiently and effectively meeting preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative needs.  Our Anesthesia Services, are now serving New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Kareem Eltaki, MD

President Bay Anesthesia

Dr. Kareem Eltaki is a highly accomplished medical professional with over 15 years of experience in the field of anesthesiology. With a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, Dr. Eltaki has established himself as a leading expert in his field.   After completing his Internal Medicine Internship at the New York Hospital Medical Center - Queens Cornell University Medical College Program, Dr. Eltaki completed his residency training in Anesthesia at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, where he gained invaluable knowledge and hands-on training within this top program. Soon after, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and achieved Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
As the President and Co-founder of Bay Anesthesia, Dr. Eltaki leads a team of highly skilled professionals committed to delivering exceptional anesthesia care. With his extensive experience and expertise, he ensures that patients receive the highest quality of care, putting their safety and comfort as a top priority.   Dr. Eltaki's dedication to the field of anesthesiology, combined with his unwavering commitment to patient care, has earned him a stellar reputation among colleagues and patients alike. Rosanna Nunziata, MD

Vice President of Clinical Operations

Dr. Rosanna Nunziata is a distinguished Attending Anesthesiologist, currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Bay Anesthesia. Boasting an impressive educational background, Dr. Nunziata completed her Doctorate of Medicine at the State University of New York – Downstate College of Medicine as class president, followed by a specialized Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Driven by a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare, Dr. Rosanna Nunziata combines her extensive education, clinical acumen, and strong leadership skills to make significant contributions to the field of anesthesiology. She also serves as the lead member of State Inspections and Department of Health Accreditation compliance for the group. Above all else, Dr. Nunziata, or Rosie as we so lovingly call her, is devoted mother, wife, friend and colleague.

Ahmed Assas, MD

Vice President of Financial Operations

Dr. Ahmed Assas is a distinguished anesthesiologist and Partner at Bay Anesthesia, LLC bringing nearly two decades of experience and expertise to his field. Currently serving as Vice President of Finance for Bay Anesthesia, Dr. Assas earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the New York University School of Medicine through a highly competitive seven-year program, during which he also attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He furthered his training by completing his residency in Anesthesia at the ICAHN School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Obtaining licenses in both New York and New Jersey, Dr. Assas is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. Known for his dedication and achievements in the field of anesthesiology, Dr. Ahmed Assas significantly contributes to patient care and medical education. Beyond his clinical proficiency, Dr. Assas is recognized for his kindness and compassion, extending not only to patients but also to colleagues in the workplace. He leads by example, demonstrating that collaborative efforts lead to success for all.

Brian Philip, MD

Vice President of Business Operations

Dr. Brian Philip, an accomplished Anesthesiologist, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Bay Anesthesia, LLC . He currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development for Bay Anesthesia. Dr Philip completed a rigorous anesthesiology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, with a special emphasis on regional anesthesia and pediatrics. With a solid foundation in education, extensive clinical experience, and a commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Brian Philip stands as a dedicated and accomplished anesthesiologist. He has leveraged his passion for teaching to implement educational programs at our partnered ambulatory surgical centers, including mock code and active shooter drills. Dr. Philip embodies the true definition of a renaissance man. Not only is he an enthusiast of the performing arts, being a singer and dancer himself, but he is also a personal trainer, self-defense instructor, percussionist, high-school mentor, as well as multiple black belts in different martial arts disciplines.

Sudip Das, MD

Director of Quality Assurance

Dr. Sudip Das is a board-certified anesthesiologist with extensive experience in perioperative management and anesthetic care. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at NYU Medical Center in June 2006 as Chief Resident. Dr. Das holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Memorial University School of Medicine in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, earned in 2002. Dr. Das joined Bay Anesthesia and currently acts as the Director of Anesthesia at Muhlenberg Ambulatory Surgical Center. In this capacity, he continues to lead in providing high-quality anesthetic care and optimizing perioperative processes. He provides expert perioperative management and optimization services for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), office-based practices, and hospitals. His responsibilities include establishing anesthesia protocols for new and existing ASCs, participating in accreditation site visits by AAAHC and JCAHO, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Dr. Das holds active medical licenses in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Being well versed in regional anesthesia, he introduced ultrasound-guided TAP blocks for postoperative pain management in abdominal surgeries and developed a sleep apnea protocol utilizing the STOP-BANG algorithm to enhance patient safety in ASCs. Dr. Das is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and a board-certified member of the American Board of Anesthesiology, underscoring his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice in his field.

Krista Ruedy, MD

Director of Community Outreach

Dr. Krista Ruedy is a highly experienced and personable board-certified anesthesiologist with over 15 years of dedicated service in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center settings. Her commitment to providing high-quality anesthetic care is matched by her vigilant attention to detail and excellence in job performance. Dr. Ruedy is particularly skilled in ultrasound-guided nerve blockade techniques with post-operative pain catheter placement, and she brings extensive experience from busy orthopedic centers. Dr. Ruedy completed her anesthesiology residency at Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2004 to 2007, following a preliminary medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital – Northwestern University from 2003 to 2004. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 2003 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Colorado, obtained in 1997. Her certifications and affiliations include being a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiologists since 2008, and she holds certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS. Dr. Ruedy is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists, and she maintains a New Jersey medical license. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Ruedy has a keen interest in real estate, is involved with Hunger Free New Jersey Unity in the Community and 4H. Additionally she is a foster care parent. She enjoys entertaining, cooking, wine, competitive gymnastics, and outdoor activities, reflecting her well-rounded and engaging personality.
